The Tallest Man in the World by Ailís Ní Ríain is a play about an unspeakable love, almighty difference and the torment of memory. Poetic, rhythmic and highly nuanced, a ‘trio’ for voices. It was originally produced by award-winning Cork-based Corcadorca Theatre Company in Ireland in 2013, was a finalist in the Eugene O’ Neill National Playwright’s Conference.

A regular collaborator with artists in other art-forms, her artistic interests are diverse and combined with an unwavering desire to push and develop her artistic practice through each new project or commission. Ran Xia (Director) is an interdisciplinary theatre artist. Her works have been produced at IRT (Pomegrenade), HERE, Dixon Place, The Brick ([ai]), The Wild Project, etc, and of course, The Tank (previously Echo; Tao at Dark Fest 2018, Independent Study, etc.). A frequent collaborator of Exquisite Corpse Co. (audio/visual installation Echo at the Memory House, on Governors Island), a current Resident Director at The Flea, and a resident artist at Access Theater. Daniel Carlton (Felim) is a is an actor , storyteller, playwright, poet , director, and award-winning teaching artist who has appeared on New York, national, and international stages. Finn Kilgore (Eamonn) is a New York born actor based in Brooklyn. He holds a Master’s degree from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and has studied at the LIR academy in Dublin. He has been seen in theaters all around the city of New York, and is thrilled to be returning to the Tank for the New York premiere of The Tallest Man in the World. finnkilgore.com
Beatriz Miranda (Erin) is a Puerto Rican actress and recent graduate of American Conservatory Theater’s Masters of Fine Arts program. While pursuing a double BA in Psychology and Theater at the University of Puerto Rico, she was a member of Teatro rodante universitario and has performed as an improviser and stand up comedian. Recent roles include Roberta in Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Mary in ACT’s A Christmas Carol, Ashley in Clickshare and Queen Marie Therese in Lynn Nottage’s Las Meninas. Beatriz is excited for her first show at The Tank.
